It was clear that cooks didn’t know how to prepare a steak and the food was pre-made or sat on the counter waiting to be served. The restaurant was not busy at all, so there was no reason for the cold and undercooked food. Not like any southern red beans and rice I’ve ever experienced. Plain white rice topped with some red beans, onions etc. The red beans and rice were unusual to say the least. Garlic Mashed potatoes were good, but the Mac & Cheese was very bland and extremely thick, almost like it was cut from a left-over casserole.

Our server was outstanding, she offered her apologies for the food, but was very professional and understanding. It's a shame, they were excellent cuts of meat. They were sent back and returned as well done, microwave style. They were ordered as medium but arrived somewhere between Raw & Rare. The steaks were all seriously undercooked. The grilled ciabatta bread had a strong burnt flavor from the grill marks.įor the main entrée, we ordered Filet Mignon, Ribeye, trout, panini and grilled chicken. The artichoke dip had decent flavor, but again, warm and not freshly made or hot as would be expected. The Lodge Chips were not freshly cooked, but Lukewarm and soft. We started off with several orders of Lodge Chips, spinach. There were 6 of us in the party and ordered a mix of things. Unfortunately, we had a very underwhelming experience. We were really excited to try this while we visited family in the area.
